(BEDFORD, IN) - A 20-year-old Bedford has been accused of stealing anhydrous ammonia from a Jackson County business.
Authorities say that Justin Garrison attempted to steal the meth ingredient late Monday night; the man was jailed early Tuesday.
An investigation into the case began after police responded to the report of a suspicious male walking near a residence and could possibly be attempting to break into a garage.
Officers stopped a vehicle driving slowing through the area when they were informed by the female driver that she had dropped off Garrison to steal the ammonia from a fertilizer company.
The woman was not arrested at the scene.
Garrison was later discovered lying on the ground in the woods.
He now faces charges of theft and improper storage and handling of anhydrous ammonia.
