Last updated on Wednesday, January 20, 2010

(NASHVILLE, IN) - The woman accused of murdering her estranged husband in June of 2009, has been ruled competent to stand trial for the Nashville murder.

The Indiana Division of Mental Health and Addictions declared the woman as competent earlier this week.

40-year-old Dottie Andrews was booked into the Brown County Jail Wednesday, January 13th, where she is being held until her trial.

Police officials discovered Robert Andrews shot to death, along with his dog, inside a burning mobile home on Whispering Pines Road on June 19th with Dottie hiding near a shed in the back yard of the property.

The woman is being charged with murder, arson and burglary.

Her trial will now be on April 19th.

Dottie was originally set to face the Brown Circuit Court jury on October 7th, 2009, but a September 14th ruling declared her incompetent to stand trial.
