Teen Remains Hospitalized Following Car Wreck

(CROTHERSVILLE, IN) - A Crothersville teen remained hospitalized in Indianapolis Monday afternoon following a car wreck.

16-year-old Denise Maxie was injured when a vehicle she was a passenger in, traveling on County Road 850 East in Jackson County, left the road and crashed into a group of trees.

Authorities who investigated the crash, said Maxie sustained internal injuries and was treated by ambulance services at the scene.

The Crothersville High School student, was later taken to a hospital in Indianapolis to be treated for her injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, 16-year-old Kaylyn Luedeman, as well as a second passenger, 16-year-old Cierra Kilgore, sustained minor injuries in the wreck.

Kaylyn Luedeman says she was driving north on County Road 850 East near County Road 800 South when she missed a turn, causing the wreck.
