(BEDFORD, IN) - Several area residents have contacted WBIW News after receiving text messages on their cell phones, stating that Lawrence County has been declared a state of emergency.
Valerie Luchauer with the Lawrence County Emergency Plan Commission says that Lawrence County has not been declared a state of emergency.
Luchauer says that she does not anticipate that the area will be declared an emergency any time soon.
