(SEYMOUR, IN) - More than a year-long investigation into illegally registered vehicles lead to the arrest of a 59-year-old Seymour man Sunday morning.

According to police officials, Rigberto J. Miranda has been for helping hispanics obtain vehicle registrations illegally.

The case began sometime in November of 2008 which led to the arrest of Miranda, who is now facing three preliminary charges of forgery and one count of making a false sales document.

Seymour Detective C.J. Foster says that the man was basically getting registrations for people who didn't have the means of obtaining them legally.

While not obtaining the registrations, Miranda operated Mi Amigo, which he described as a for-profit organization that provides services to the Hispanic community.
