(UNDATED) - Indiana state police are currently investigating several car crashes and slide-offs on throughout the listening area and there may be lane restrictions at various locations.
Officials say that the interstate is open, but motorists should be prepared for sudden speed reductions or stops.
Public Information Sergeant Chad Dick says that most of the area is receiving moderate snowfall.
In Seymour, police officials are reporting a semi crash on I-65 on the northbound side near mile marker 64.
The semi crash blocked one lane of the highway leaving the driver in serious critical condition; additional car wrecks have occurred in the same area since the semi wreck.
Currently, roads throughout the listening area are mostly covered with snow.
State and U.S. highways are snow covered; nearly all county roads are snow covered.
Motorists are advised to reduce speed, be aware of sudden stops, keep a safe distance between vehicles, hang up cell phones and drive with caution.
State police are asking residents to not call local police dispatchers to ask about road conditions.
