Woman Arrested For Public Intoxication At Hospital

(BEDFORD, IN) - Bedford Police were called upon by a Bedford Regional Medical Center to report a woman in the hospital’s emergency room possibly intoxicated and was attempting to get pain medication.

During an investigation into the case, police determined that the woman was intoxicated, as well as the man she was with; the two were taken into police custody.

While sitting in the police car, authorities noticed the woman suspiciously moving around in the seat.

After searching the seat and the woman, police discovered pills and a syringe in which she was attempting to hide.

44-year-old Kelly Guthrie and 41-year-old Brad Terrell were booked into the Lawrence County Jail with Guthrie being charged with public intoxication, schedule 4 and schedule 2 controlled substances and reckless possession of paraphernalia; Terrell was charged with public intoxication.

During the booking process at the Lawrence County Jail, additional pills were found on Kelly Guthrie.
