High Winds, Low Temperatures

(UNDATED) - Forecasters say today might be as bad for yard ornaments and utility lines as Monday was for cars and trucks.

High winds are expected to affect most of the state throughout the day.

The temperature is forecast to reach 43 degrees, mild for early December and then drop rapidly to an overnight low of 14.

Thursday and Friday also will see a low of 14.

The National Weather Service says snow will fall again today near the Indiana-Michigan state line.

About an inch is expected in South Bend and Gary could get two inches.

A wind advisory has been issued for most of the state from 7:00AM today until 1:00AM Thursday.

An advisory means winds of 35mph are expected.

However, the weather service predicts sustained wind speeds of 40Mmph with gusts up to 50mph, and 60mph in isolated areas.
