(BEDFORD, IN) - Two people were injured in a collision between a car and a riding lawn mower Sunday.

According to Bedford Police, 25-year-old Wendy McDonald was traveling on Saddler Driver in a 2004 Pontiac Sunfire about 100 feet south of Sycamore Drive when a riding mower being driven by 38-year-old Joe Godsey came into McDonald's path.

McDonald stated that she didn't see the mower due to the sun shining in her eyes.

McDonald informed police that she hit the back-end of the mower and pushed it into a mail box.

Godsey, the driver of the mower stated that he saw McDonald coming down Saddler Drive and thought that he had time to pull onto Saddler Drive and turn around.

Godsey complained of pain to his shoulder and upper arm; McDonald complained of pain to her neck.
