Needmore Man Sentenced For Minor's Battery

(NEEDMORE, IN) - A 48-year-old Needmore man has been sentenced to 2 1/2 years for the battery of a minor.

Ronald A. Everroad a former Needmore resident who now lives in Elletsville was initially arrested from an incident that occurred at the man's home near Judah in August of 2007.

Everroad was at first charged with child molesting, a Class C felony, for inappropriately touching a 12-year-old female but on July 21, that charge was amended to battery, a Class D felony.

One year of Everroad's sentence will be suspended, which means that he will 18 months on house arrest; the man will then serve a year of probation.
