Economic Reality Looking Grim For Holiday Seasons

Last updated on Wednesday, November 18, 2009

(UNDATED) - The approach of the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays underscores the grim economic reality facing 303,000 Hoosiers who remain out of work.

Indiana's unemployment rate for the holiday season hasn't been this high since Thanksgiving 1983, when it was 10%.

The year before, 334,000 Hoosiers were out of work around Thanksgiving.
