Woman Caught With Drugs Outside School

(BEDFORD, IN) - One woman was arrested by the Indiana State Police for the possession of illegal drugs outside of a Lawrence County Elementary School.

22-year-old Chelsea Wilhelm of Fort Wayne was arrested for possession of cocaine within 1000 feet of a school, as well as possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.

Wilhelm was arrested after a school official called the Lawrence County Police and advised them of a suspicious vehicle with two people sitting inside, parked in the Needmore school parking lot.

When Lawrence County Police officials arrived at the scene, another officer from a different department was already on the scene speaking with the two subjects previously asleep in the car.

The case was eventually moved under the authority of the Indiana State Police.

ISP has not yet released any information about the case.
