Court Hearing Set For Isaac Terrell

(MITCHELL, IN) - A court hearing date has been set for Isaac Terrell, the Mitchell Police dispatcher that was arrested Tuesday evening for possession of child pornography.

Terrell's court hearing has been set for 8:30AM on October 16th in Lawrence Superior Court I.

Terrell will not answer police calls for the Mitchell Police Department, however he has maintained his employment with the city.

The city of Mitchell issued a press release with information regarding the arrest of Issac Terrell and his future position with the city.

According to the press release Terrell voluntarily presented himself to the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department following a warrant issued for his arrest for possession of child pornography.

Indiana State Police investigators obtained a warrant to seize Terrell's cell phone which contained several pictures of a naked girl appearing to be under the age of 16.

According to a probable cause affidavit, police investigators spoke with Terrell about having the pictures on his cell phone and he admitted that it was wrong of him to keep them.

Police also spoke with the girl appearing in the pictures, she told investigators that she had taken the pictures and that Terrell had repeatedly asked for the girl to send more.

Both the victims name and age had been marked off of the court affidavit.

After turning himself in to police, Terrell posted $5,000 bond and was released only 20 minutes after being entered into the jail.

According to the city of Mitchell Isaac Terrell has been reassinged "to duty with another city department pending the result of his criminal case."

He has been charge with possession of child pornography which is a class D felony, punishable anywhere from six months to three years in jail and a fine of up to $10,000.
