Fire Crews Respond To Middle School Fire

(OOLITIC, IN) - On Thursday, at around 5:40PM, the Oolitic Police Department and Volunteer Fire Department, responded to the report of a fire at Dollens Middle School.

Police say that the fire, which was intentionally set, had been started in a building located on the football practice field and completely destroyed the building.

During the investigation, Oolitic Police discovered that two 14-year-old male juveniles had started the fire; both have been charged with criminal mischief.

The two teens reportedly started the fire with a cigarette lighter and paper.
