(BEDFORD, IN) - Bedford North Lawrence school board members approved Thursday, for emergency repairs to be made to the Bedford North Lawrence High School building's roof.
The building's roof was damaged as the result of a hail storm the moved through the area in August.
According to Steve Ritter, director of maintenance, Indiana Insurance is handling the claim and has already hired a general contractor and roofing consultant for the project.
Ritter says that the entire roof of the building will need to be replaced and it will most likely be done over the next few months.
So far no leaks have been noticed but inspections have shown holes in the roof's rubber membrane.
