Wedding Gift Money Stolen From Reception

(SEYMOUR, IN) - During a wedding inside the American Legion building in Seymour Saturday, Aaron and Margaret Thompson Brown were celebrating with family, the reception of their marriage.

During the event, an uninvited guest reportedly made away with a large wire bird cage that held stacks of congratulatory cards filled with cash.

According to Joyce Thompson, the bride's mother, the thief got away with around $5,000.

Police are looking for a skinny white male wearing a dark T-shirt and a ball cap.

Later during the reception, family members and friends reportedly managed to raise $500.00 to replace the stolen money.
