Last updated on Tuesday, September 8, 2009

(OOLITIC, IN) - Three people were injured in a 2 vehicle collision on Highway 37 Friday afternoon.

A 27-year-old mother was traveling south on Highway 37, along with her 1-year-old daughter when another vehicle being driven by a 64-year-old man traveling on Stevens Lane which intersects with Highway 37, pulled out in front of her, attempting to cross the highway.

Unable to stop in time, the woman's vehicle collided with the other vehicle.

When Lawrence County police arrived at the scene they noted that the collision was a "right-angle" crash, meaning that the woman attempted to swerve away from the passing car, resulting in the two cars colliding in a right angle.

The male driver was transported by ambulance to an area hospital.

The female driver and her daughter were transported to the hospital, with the 1-year-old girl suffering abrasions to her neck.
