(BEDFORD, IN) - The Bedford Police Department is warning Lawrence County school officials and area parents of two possible attempts at child abduction outside school walls.

The first incident reportedly happened Tuesday afternoon at around 3:20PM when an older model convertible stopped by a Lincoln Elementary School boy. The driver and passenger asked the boy if he wanted candy or to pet their puppy. Both men were described as two young adult males with long hair.

The boy refused the two men and ran home to inform his parents, who later reported the incident.
