(NASHVILLE, IN) - Early estimates by federal investigators indicate more than $3 million in damage was caused by the fire at Little Nashville Opry in Brown County.
Around 20 agents from Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and explosives arrived at the Opry at the request of the State Fire Marshal's Office to assist in investigating what caused Saturday's fire.
Some of the reason a heavier investigation was ordered is due to the fact that two other properties owned by the company that owned the Little Nashville Opry, have burnt down as well as the fact that the company owed around $64,000 to Brown County in back taxes.
The fire started in the back of the building late Saturday night and that's where the agents are starting their investigation.
ATF Special Agent Kim Rydell says the National Response Team is mainly used to investigate large fires that have a major economic impact on the community.
