Company Provides Free Zoo In Bedford

Last updated on Thursday, September 10, 2009

(BEDFORD, IN) - Regency Properties, the company that owns a strip mall on 16th street in Bedford where Mr. Gatti’s Pizza and Big Lots sit, is sponsoring a free zoo in the strip mall’s parking lot.

The zoo came as a surprise to many, with most people who attended Jungle Safari zoo yesterday only knowing about the event when they drove by.

Two tigers, including a rare white tiger are one of the more noticeable attractions, but the zoo also includes, monkeys, kangaroos, goats, a camel and a snake.

Those interested in having their picture taken with one of the animals can do so either with a baby lion, a monkey, a kangaroo, or a snake.

Kids can also visit the petting zoo for less exotic creatures were the can hand feed animals.

The zoo will remain in the strip mall's parking lot until Sunday.
