(COLUMBUS, IN) - A Columbus, Indiana firefighter is in the national spotlight by appearing on a prime-time program.
The NBC show, "The Biggest Loser" is the hottest ticket in town for residents of Columbus rooting for Allen Smith.
Smith made his debut Tuesday night as one of 16 new contestants getting a second chance to transform their lives and bodies on the show.
Smith returned to his hometown last month, but he was not allowed to join supporters at a Columbus theater to watch the premiere.
But around town, his weight loss is no secret.
Viewers can watch his transformation every Tuesday night on NBC.
The season finale is selected for December.
