(COLUMBUS, IN) - Bobcat sightings in Bartholomew county and descriptions of the animals' piercing screams are pointing to a rise in population in central and southern Indiana.
The Indiana Department of Natural Resources credits reforestation over the last 30 years and the animal's protection as a former endangered species.
Experts also say people see and hear more bobcats than a few years ago partially because of humans encroachment into bobcats' habitat.
