OUTAGE INFORMATION:
(UNDATED) - With several power outages throughout the state of Indiana, Duke Energy has taken the step as to hire 300 contractors in addition to Duke employees to help restore power.

Over 100,000 Indiana residents were reportedly without power at one point. According to Duke Energy, the severity of power outages focused Monroe and Brown County.

Duke Energy representative Angelin Proteger informed WBIW News that those in less storm stricken areas can expect their electricity to resume by this evening.

It is estimated that the counties of Monroe and Brown can expect their power outage to be fixed before Friday, with the most severe thunderstorm stricken area to be fully electric no later than Friday evening.
