(MITCHELL, IN) - Lawrence County Police are investigating a possible animal abuse case.
According to the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department, frustrations between Bryan Taylor of State Road 60 and his neighbors have been ongoing for a fairly long time.
Police state that the tension between the two neighbors mostly has to do with both residents' animals moving on to the other residents' property.
Bryan Taylor and his wife are cat owners and have having recently been presented with a litter of cats.
His neighbors being are owners.
According to Taylor, his neighbor's dogs have endangered both himself his wife and his cats.
One of Taylor's kittens had gone missing for a couple of days when he reportedly saw his neighbors toss the kitten out of their house, Taylor was surprised to later discover his cat, mutilated.
The neighbors reportedly used a hot glue gun on the kitten, filling in its ears and gluing its eyes shut.
Lawrence County Sheriff's Department is currently investigating the case.
The penalty for anyone who tortures or mutilates an animal can be charged as a class D felony with up to 3 years in prison and $10,000 fine.
