Flooded County Roads Re-Open

(BEDFORD, IN) - Most county roads in Lawrence County have re-opened.

According to Bob Dillon with the Lawrence County Highway Department, all county roads have been re-opened excluding Stumphole Bridge Road.

Dillon said that Stumphole Bridge Road will most likely re-open later this afternoon.

An active flood warning still exists for portions of the East Fork White River and Muscatatuck River.

According to the National Weather Service most of the East Fork White River has fallen below flood stage in southern Indiana

Several Lawrence County roads were originally closed due to the flooding.

In Jackson County, State Road 235 in Medora and State Road 256 between I-65 and State Road 39 are closed.
