Woman Flees From Hospital After Charged By Police

Last updated on Monday, July 6, 2009

(LAWRENCE COUNTY) - Lawrence County Police were called for help Friday night from a woman stating that someone was trying to take her kids away and wanting to beat her up.

Police reports indicate that upon arrival at the scene they discovered that she had hurt herself and needed an ambulance.

She refused any help from police and was eventually arrested.

There was no indication on the situation that occurred at the residence other than a domestic dispute; however, the female was intoxicated.

She was transported to Dunn memorial hospital to receive medical attention.

Police were called back to the hospital after she fled from treatment and attempted to escape the hospital.

She was apprehended right after she escaped the building and put back into the hospital.

The mother was charged with disorderly conduct.
