Motorcycle, Car Wreck Sends One To Hospital

(LAWRENCE COUNTY) - A motorcycle wreck sent one person to the hospital Wednesday evening.

The motorcyclist was heading eastbound on Sieboldt Quarry Road near the Gas Line Road intersection when a 17-year-old driving another vehicle, a 2002 Oldsmobile failed to yield and turned out onto Sieboldt Quarry Road as the motorcyclist was passing causing the motorcycle to "T" into the car.

The driver of the motorcycle was sent by ambulance to Monroe Hospital for fractures or dislocations to his back, the driver of the car stating pain to his entire body, although he was not transported to the hospital.

The motorcyclist attempted to stop before he collided with the passing vehicle but was unsuccessful.
