Crash Landing In Monroe County

(BLOOMINGTON) - Friday afternoon at around 1:47 PM, the pilot of a small airplane made an emergency landing, due to an electrical failure.

The pilot, 58-year-old Michael A. Leone, of Sugar Grove, Illinois; made his emergency landing at Monroe County Airport.

The Indiana State Police secured the scene until the FAA and members of the National Transportation Safety Board arrived to conduct the investigation.

The preliminary investigation was conducted by the Indiana State Police at Bloomington by Trooper Allen Deel.

No word yet on the condition of the pilot.
