(VINCENNES) - Memorial Day weekend marks the start of the summer season and a busy travel time on Indiana highways and interstates.
The Indiana Department of Transportation wants to remind motorists to drive safely and plan for potential heavy traffic during the upcoming holiday weekend.
From noon today until sunrise Tuesday, May 26, all maintenance activities and most construction projects will halt work to increase roadway safety in work zones.
Work zones that are already set up will remain intact, but work will stop to improve traffic flow.
