Seymour Toddler Found Alone, Father Facing Charges

Last updated on Thursday, April 30, 2009

(SEYMOUR) - An unfortunate situation came to a head yesterday in Seymour when a 3-year-old girl was found on her own, and her father was arrested.

The Seymour Tribune reports police were called when a woman found the toddler alone, and after a search that was made difficult by the child only knowing her age and first name, police eventually found her father, 25-year-old Brannon Harris.

Harris told police the mother no longer lives with them and that he works 3rd shift and fell asleep.

Harris was found by police asleep in his home and is now facing a preliminary child neglect charge. Seymour police believe the girl and her brother will be released to their mother.
