Meth Lab, Pot Plants Found After Springville Pair Pinched In Illinois

Last updated on Wednesday, April 8, 2009

(SPRINGVILLE) - After two Springville residents were arrested in Southeastern Illinois, Lawrence County police were given information that led them to an active meth lab and marijuana operation in their home.

Lawrence County Sheriff Sam Craig says 35-year-old Paxton Davis and 31-year-old Michelle Gerkin are facing charges in Edgar County, Illinois, which is about an hour south of Danville, for purchasing meth precursors in Paris, Illinois.

That led to a search warrant being issued for the pair's Sieboldt Quarry Road Home, and the discovery of the lab and pot plants as well as firearms.

Charges have not yet been filed in Lawrence County, but information from the raid has been forwarded on to the Lawrence County prosecutor's office for consideration.
