IU Doing Their Part To Prevent Spread Of Swine Flu

Last updated on Tuesday, April 28, 2009

(BLOOMINGTON) - Although no swine flu has been confirmed yet in Indiana, Indiana University President Michael McRobbie is encouraging everyone under his direction to take precautions to prevent any spread of the virus.

IU officials are being encouraged to monitor health related issues as they come before them, and to take steps to keep things clean.

Schools of all sorts are of concern since they involve groups of people packed in closely together for hours at a time, whether it's in a college setting or K-12.

IU medical director Dr. Diana Ebling says they are keeping in close contact with state and federal emergency officials keeping an eye on the situation.
