(BLOOMINGTON) - The body of a Bloomington man has been returned to Indiana days after it was shipped to his family in Mexico.
The reason for the return? Apparently, it was missing a special stamp!
43-year-old Fernando Castaneda died in late March after choking on food.
Bloomington's Hispanic Community raised the $2,000 needed to ship Castaneda's body back.
However, the casket was missing a signed form necessary for the airlines that flew the body to Mexico to release it to his mother.
Now, members of Bloomington's Hispanic Community say they'll try to find a way to persuade Delta to turn the body over.
The Mexican Consul's Office has been closed for the holy week.
