(BEDFORD) - Bedford police are seeking help in locating a man they say was found wandering around in a home that wasn't his Sunday morning.

Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley tells WBIW News they were called by a person saying they were woken up by sounds in their home and lights coming on, and when they checked on what it was, found a man wandering inside the home.

The homeowner yelled at the intruder who then took off and left the home via the kitchen window. The home is located near 17th and K Streets and the man was last seen near 17th and I Streets where a county K-9 officer lost the trail.

The man is described as a white male, 5'8" tall, about 175 pounds, short brown hair, blue jeans and a dark sweatshirt.

Bedford police ask anyone with information on this incident to call them at (812) 275-3311.

While investigating that break in, a Bedford man, who was allegedly carrying drugs and a switchblade, just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Bedford police say while officers were investigating the report of that break-in, they happened to find 39-year-old Allen Yarberry of Bedford walking along the sidewalk.

Officers stopped him to ask him if he knew anything about the robbery, and that's when police noticed a knife stuck in his pocket. Police patted him down and found the knife was an automatic knife, or switchblade, and took him into custody for that.

During a subsequent search, police found Alprazolam, Methadone and Adderall, all controlled substances, and was charged Yarberry with three counts of possession.
