"Cut-A-Thon" Volunteers Raise Over $500 To Help Tornado Victims

(FAYETTEVILLE) - Cut-A-Thon organizer Peggy Godsey states that “for a small little town, we really didn’t do that bad”.

All of the proceeds were donated to the Indian Creek Fire Department, where they will then be distributed to the tornado victims.

(FAYETTEVILLE) - The Fayetteville Baptist Church and local Lawrence County hairstylists will being giving haircuts Saturday, March 21st, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM for the cost of a $10 dollar donation to help recent tornado victims.

The Times Mail reports that the "cut-a-thon" was organized by Mitchell hairstylist Peggy Godsey.

Godsey states, "We are asking for a $10 donation, with all proceeds going to the tornado victims."

Anyone interested should visit the Fayetteville Baptist Church between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM on Highway 158, or call 812 275-3163.
