(UNDATED) - At least 4 new state troopers will be patrolling roads in and around the listening area.

Sgt. Chad Dick of the Jasper District says Trooper Shane Staggs has been given his own patrol car and will be assigned primarily to Orange County. Dick says Staggs graduated from Paoli High School in 2005 and earned his associates from Vincennes University in 2007, moving on to be an officer for the Paoli Police Department.

At the Bloomington Post, Sgt. Curt Durnil says troopers Adam Davis, Julie Meisel, and Kent Rohlfing were all issued their cars as well.

Durnil says Davis is a Wabash High School graduate and former marine who will be assigned to Greene County.

Meisel graduated high school in Pennsylvania and attended Louisiana Tech, and served in the Air Force and will be assigned to Monroe County.

Rohlfing graduated high school in Osgood and attended Elmhurst College in Illinois and IU, and will be assigned to Owen County.
