Weir Putting In 11.5 Hour Days Rehearsing For Indiana's Junior Miss

Last updated on Monday, February 16, 2009

(FRANKFORT) - Lawrence County’s Junior Miss is already neck deep in the statewide competition that started off today in Frankfort, Indiana.

Victoria Weir, who won Lawrence County Junior Miss last November is hoping to make a Lawrence County repeat, as Indiana's current Junior Miss is Bedford's very own Anah Hewetson.

We tried to speak with Miss Weir today, however, Lisa Crum, part of Weir's host family in Frankfort, says she may, if she's lucky, get an hour off.

"They just got here yesterday afternoon," Crum told WBIW News this morning. "They had the mayor's reception last night, and then, yeah, every day of the week they're pretty busy."

Crum continued, "They leave about 7:45am every day and usually don't come back here until, it's usually about 5:00 or 6:00pm that they're here, and then back in the evening for more rehearsals and things, so, they keep them pretty busy."

All this effort will be going into the final Indiana Junior Miss Pageant which will take place in Frankfort Saturday night.
