Police Seek Area Help For Upland, Columbus Pharmacy Robberies

Last updated on Wednesday, February 18, 2009

(REDKEY) - State police from the Redkey District are asking for help from area residents in trying to find the man caught on tape robbing pharmacies in Upland and Columbus.

Sgt. Rod Russell of the Redkey District say a white male pulled a gun in a pharmacy in Upland, a small burg near Marion, Indiana, demanding drugs and then drove off in a vehicle he allegedly stole from one of the employees.

The man, who demanded drugs, is described as a clean shaven white male in his late 40s or early 50s, 5'5", 240 pounds, pictured wearing jeans, denim jacket and white tennis shoes.

Police say the man's image looks just like the one in another pharmacy robbery in Columbus that police there are investigating.

State police ask anyone with info to call 800-761-2985.
