(INDIANAPOLIS) - As legislators and representatives from the Obama Administration make sausage in terms of the economic stimulus bill, officials in Indianapolis have already selected 12 projects to send that money to.

The projects all include water-related work, either in terms of water treatment or infrastructure.

The closest approval being nearly $3.5 million in interest-free loans to Jackson County for wells, storage and mains.

Nearby Dugger, in far-eastern Sullivan County, was approved for $320,000 for a wastewater treatment plant.

Other communities approved for the almost $36 million total include Madison, Peru, Brownsburg, Rensselaer, Mount Vernon and others.
