(DETROIT, MI) - General Motors is making another move to keep themselves afloat.
As we've reported previously, GM has offered buyouts to the company's hourly staff. Our partners at Fox News have reported that "The General" has already sold its stake in Japanese auto maker Suzuki, is in talks with Isuzu to sell off their medium duty truck business, has suspended contributions to their 401(k) program and terminated their sponsorship deal between the Buick Division and golf dynamo Tiger Woods.
Now, the Detroit News is reporting GM is ceasing contributions...to politicians.
The paper says GM is ceasing all donations from its political action committee in order to shore up cash.
This news coming after reports of more severe drops in January auto sales, and china surpassing the US in terms of autos purchased.
