Flood Waters On The Decline

Last updated on Tuesday, February 17, 2009

(UNDATED) - Flood warnings continue throughout the listening area.

In Rivervale, the East Fork of the White River is almost a foot over flood stage, but is expected to fall below the 20-foot flooding mark by sometime late this afternoon.

NWS hydrologists have scheduled the flood warning in Rivervale to expire as early as tonight.

Hydrologists also say the West Fork of the White River has already crested in Elliston and Newberry, and water levels got as high as 6 feet over flood stage between Bloomfield and Worthington.

A large number of state and county roads are compromised in Central and Southern Greene County.

Flood warnings are scheduled through this morning in Spencer, and Seymour appears to be out of the woods.
