Listening Area May Get 4-6 Inches Of Snow Monday Night

Last updated on Monday, January 26, 2009

(UNDATED) - Oh, the weather outside is, a little lousy, but tonight it could, indeed, become frightful.

Currently, the northern half of the listening area, including Lawrence, Martin, Greene, Monroe, Brown and Jackson Counties, is under a winter storm watch from late tonight until early Wednesday morning.

The southern half of the listening area, including Orange, Washington and Crawford Counties, is under a winter storm warning from 10:00pm tonight until 1:00am Wednesday morning.

The National Weather Service offices in both Indianapolis and Louisville are forecasting between 4 and 6 inches of snow accumulating tonight and possible another 1 to 3 inches tomorrow morning.

This morning, we have just a light dusting of snow on the ground making some roads a little slick, including major thoroughfares like IN-37.

However, snow on the ground this morning has affected school schedules, which you can see be checking out the Winter Weather Watchers.
