Last updated on Monday, January 12, 2009

(LIBERTY) - State police at the Connersville District are seeking help in finding a suspected bank robber who has struck a bank in Owen County, and may be connected to other hits as well.

State police say the First Merchants Bank in Liberty, Indiana was robbed late Wednesday afternoon, and the man in that robbery resembles the man being sought for the December 10th robbery of the Owen Community Bank in Spencer.

Police describe the robber as between 5'8" and 5'10", wearing a black, Carhartt style hooded jacket, faded, black baggy pants, covering his face with a light, gray mesh mask and carrying a creme colored sack, and was approximately in his 20s.

An eyewitness that saw him pull off his mask say his face looked ruddy and pock-marked, and that he had brown hair and was missing a front tooth.

Anyone with information is asked to call state police at (800) 437-7159.
