Orange County To Be Part Of Flood Recovery Employment Effort

Last updated on Tuesday, January 20, 2009

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Orange County is among a list of a dozen counties that will get flood recovery help in the form of a grant to hire temporary recovery workers.

The Indiana Department of Workforce Development says Orange County is included in the list of 12 counties with approved flood recovery needs.

The key point of the announcement comes in the form of a $720,000 federal grant to hire temporary workers to help the affected areas recover from last year's floods.

Once the specific projects are identified, the area Work One offices will tell Hoosiers about how to apply for the resulting work.
