More Information Released In Bedford Armed Robbery

Last updated on Tuesday, January 20, 2009

(BEDFORD) - Further details have been released on Friday night’s armed robbery at the Ridgewood II Apartments.

Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley tells WBIW News 19-year-old Adam Machida of Paoli and 18-year-old Joshua Dunlap of Bloomington are both facing a single charge of armed robbery in the home invasion and theft at the Ridgewood II apartments Friday night.

Parsley says a 43-year-old woman alleges Machida and Dunlap both entered her apartment demanding medication, and then took her purse and fled.

Parsley says police are still investigating what weapons were used, but one report says a knife was brandished, and another says a pistol was involved.

Parsley says, though there is a distant acquaintanceship between the victim and the suspects, it's mostly a "friend of a friend type situation."
