IU Library Hosting Viewing, Public Art Event For Inauguration Day

Last updated on Friday, January 16, 2009

(BLOOMINGTON) - If you’re a fan of the incoming president, or are just wanting to be a part of something for Inauguration Day, the Wells Library at Indiana University in Bloomington is inviting the public to a public art event.

An interactive art project, titled "Yes We Can," invites visitors and participants to scribe their, "hopes and dreams for American democracy," onto a number of panels that will remain on display in the library's lobby for several days afterward.

Or, if you're not much of a public art participant, but are a social animal, you can also join other visitors to watch the inauguration ceremony in the library from 11:30 Tuesday morning until 2:00pm Tuesday afternoon.
