Hill Trying To Help Constituents With DTV Conversion

Last updated on Wednesday, January 21, 2009

(WASHINGTON, DC) - If you’re concerned about the digital TV transition coming up in a few weeks, one area congressman says he’s making efforts to get issues taken care of.

Indiana 9th District Democratic Congressman Baron Hill says he has asked the leaders of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, who is, at least, partially responsible for the move, to put more funding into the converter box coupon program, and to develop a method to assist constituents receiving already-expired coupons.

Hill says anyone in his district having problems with the February 17th transition, which won't affect cable or satellite subscribers, should call his Bloomington office at (812) 336-3000.
