Engineers Looking For Cause Of Ellettsville Church Roof Collapse

Last updated on Thursday, January 22, 2009

(ELLETTSVILLE) - Building inspectors are reviewing the roof collapse in Ellettsville that sent one man to the emergency room Monday.

The Bloomington Herald Times reports a worker who was working on the expansion project for the Lifeway Baptist Church in Ellettsville was injured when the roof trusses he was on top of collapsed Monday morning.

Lennie Strauser of Strauser Construction, the contractor doing the expansion project, told the paper that they have structural engineers checking over the site for quality and workmanship issues on the structure.

At this point, officials from both Strauser Construction and the church have refused to release the name of the individual injured in the accident.
