Duke Energy Helping Develop "Shovel Ready" Sites In Bloomington

Last updated on Friday, January 23, 2009

(BLOOMINGTON) - The Bloomington Economic Development Corporation is working on getting a business development site “shovel ready,” and Duke Energy has cut them a check to help out.

Duke Energy says they have awarded the Bloomington Economic Development Corporation $20,000 to pay for "Phase-One" environmental and engineering studies of the sites.

The sites are both located along Vernal Pike, the first one east of Curry Pike and the second one between Loesch and Hartstraight Roads.

Both are located in northwest Monroe County.
