Detectives Determine Jackson County Shooting Death To Be Murder-Suicide Attempt

Last updated on Friday, January 23, 2009

(DUDLEYTOWN) - Jackson County Sheriff’s detectives are calling the shooting death of a rural Dudleytown woman an attempt at a murder-suicide.

The Seymour Tribune reports 39-year-old Nancy Bradley of Dudleytown, near Brownstown, was found shot to death inside her home around 9:30 last night, and found her alleged assailant also in the home, with a gunshot wound.

The man in question, who has not been identified, was flown to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis in critical condition and sheriff Marc Lahrman told the paper he expects charges to be filed against the man sometime today.

An autopsy was scheduled for Bradley this morning in Louisville.
